Brake pads made of gold dust?
shades - 3/8/06 at 11:53 AM

Just phoned the dealer to get a price for a new set of front brake pads for my subaru... £101.66 including VAT!

Oh how I laughed. I think I will get them from somewhere else

I always used to mail order my Scooby pads from Alan at http://www.asptrading.co.uk/ top guy and always way cheaper than the dealer for standard pads. Or the alternative is better pads for the same price...the choice is yours.

If they are Brembo or Pagid pads the price is about right....

Brembo front pads for my Fiat are £120 inc!!

I used Mintex instead at £40 a set

Yea I can get Mintex for about £40 delivered

try brakes international.

main dealer subaru standard pads are a ripoff, they are nothing special. you do however get new anti squeal plates and clips etc...but still.

p.s.

is that for a classic, bug eye, blobeye?

uk/wrx or STI?

how about vauxhall quoting me £145 for "genuine" rear pads for my old lotus carlton which after some searching turn out to be front pads from a 1275 gt mini £10
