Daily driver insurance? whos doing the cheepest just now?
shades - 3/8/06 at 05:31 PM

My subaru insurance is due for renewal. In my quest for a cheeper quote who is doing the best/cheepest quotes just now?

Renewal is £572 with elephant

I can get £443 with RAC if I boost the excess up to £1000

Any thoughts?

Try confused.com, just saved the wife £200 on her renewal and another £200 on combined house buildings & contents cover

Try Admiral, they just quoted me £250 less on the tintop than my current insurance

Confused.com always does the business for me.

Barclays will beat your renewal:

quote:

We'll beat your Car Insurance Renewal deal. If we don't, we'll lower our price by up to £100 and give you £50 when you switch to us.

You can haggle with car insurance now. NU knocked £40 off mine when I said I had a ceaper quote. ( i didn't)

Also Churchill are promising to beat your quote if you have 3 years ncb.

are in the SIDC?

if so, keith michaels (gary Moulson has an impreza) are very good at the moment.

Thanks guys...

Will try some more tonight.

I had some one reverse into me in march so More than wont quote me. Churchhill the same. Funny considering I have more that 10 years protected NCB and am 35

RAC price came down a bit and they also provide free road side assitance...

Might be time to sell the subaru though, the cost is starting to bug me. It was supposed to be cheap a quick A to B car that can go without any washing and maintenance so I can consentrate on the one I'm building.

So far this month
Tyres £389
Tax £190
Insurance £570
Petrol £45 per week (on a good week)

Oh and forgot the service of £450
and front brake pads at £101.60
