Hi All

My wife is about to decorate one of our spare bedrooms (actually our bedroom because we haven't finished our proper one cos I'm in the garage all the time!)

Anyway, we have a portable TV and Freeview box up high on one of those bracket things and it's ugly as hell! I'd like to put a small flat screen TV on the wall and preferably one with a built in Freeview decoder. Any suggestions for a smallish unit on a smallish budget?! Picture quality isn't too important.

Best bet is to have a look next time you're in Tesco - they always have a selection of brands at decent prices. You won't have heard of any of them , but they're probably from the same factories as Sony etc.

LCD with freeview is going to be £400 to £500 for a 20" Try ebay for ideas like this .

Personally i'd go for a combie lcd/tv with dvd player and keep the freeview seperate just to keep your upgrade options open. You can get the bush freeview scart adapter for about £20 delivered on ebay which is small and just slots directly in the scart socket.

You'd have to check to make sure it definately has enough room first though.

Picture quality is everything man, if not just go to bed with your mobile phone!

I highly recommend a Panasonic PX42, a 42" plasma, but, get the HD version and everything will be cool.

No need to every get out of bed again, apart from the daytime drivel on the box these days..

Size is important (on this occassion) - it needs to fit on the wall above our built in wardrobes so I can't go for a 40" !

I like the look of the scart freeview adaptor - very neat. I'll get to Tesco later to see what TV's they may have.

I bought a smallish flat screen from Makro and managed to hide a Bush freeview scart adapter behind it. Quite a neat solution.

Shame the signal is crap and I can't get a digital picture - waiting for the local aerial chap to come and sort me out!
