Mental Note: Take heed!!!

Never pressure the Mrs to joining you to a car show, she'll only moan and you will not get chance to have a proper look around

...And then she'll deny being moody and say it was the baby that wanted to get home quick

You say that, i actually prefer to take my missus round the shows. She takes more interest in the cars than my mates. But she keep saying things like " why dont you do yours like that" or " why dont you buy that for yours" To which i answer "if u give me the money then i will my dear." "Ok then dont" she replies.

a classic school boy error there I think you'll find

Yep, classic error. Mine insisted on going to the shows with me, then was bored, then was moody. And she hurried me round all the stands.

The solution was to get my car on the road. She's happy for me to go out on my own now.

My wife enjoys the shows - particularly Newark, where she found the italian replica club amusing by cordoning off their bodykitted MR2's as if they were real ferrari's!

She does get a bit lost when you're not looking at some of the weird and winderful creations, past and present - she says all the lotus 7 type cars are the same and boring (but she won't let me buy somkething more expensive and unique!)

Mine says they are full of weirdo's, especially the ones that look like ramblers looking through the boxes of old switches / relays / gromitts etc.

Got to agree with her there though

indeed, nowt more annoying - in fact, not many people like wandering around stalls, my bro has hurried me in the past and so have a few boring mates!
