As many of you will know, I now have to build my car in my back yard. I used to spend every weekend and the odd day off working on the car.
With the recent bad weather, I haven't been able to do much, and have done almost nothing to the car in the last month and seem to be loosing
motivation compared with the initial rapid progress.
Has anyone else come across this and what is the remedy?

quote:Best remedy to re-motivate I know of is to find someone local with any type of se7enesque car and meet up with them. Either get them to take you out for a blat, or just have a good pour over their car and talk to them about thier build/driving experiences.

I think part of the problems is that I am 7 miles from Lands End!, shows are a two day job with an overnight stay, and there are two Locosts within a 2 day camel ride but neither are finished (how are you doing, Robinbastard?)
Mark,
I'm sure we've all suffered this way.
For me it's doing the less enjoyable parts that gets me down and less motivated.
Solutions: Keeping hanging around on here and we'll re-motivate you and even better blag a ride off someone.....
Mark,I'm in a similar position to you! The new build isn't making any headway (apart from headscratching) due to my Robin Hood taking up
garage space and the little free time I get. That said it isn't far away from an MOT. As soon as that is done I'll come down your way for a
blast. North coast road - here we come!!!!!!!

Sounds good, Ian - may try to get to newark to get a few things and meet a few of the guys for real!
I hope MK will be at the show, I want a pedal set, and a pair of harnesses - does anyone know if they will be there?
going camping with the boys is great fun
I have never had so much fun, every show I get exited at the thought of two days
of beer and wee taking and just fun (yes i am sad, but try a couple of shows and see what i mean)
we have a good mixture of boys, the nothern bastards "v" the southern softies
newark is good show and has good facilities, donnington is another good one without any facilities not even water
but i will not be going to either show this year due to the head holiday planner at home f*****g up this years dates
oh, sorry i forgot i am that head holiday planner, so doubley pissed off

I find that doing something that makes it look more like a car helps. Eg I fitted the cycle wings this weekend, what a difference!
Then sit in it for a few minutes and go brummmmm brummmmm. Works every time!
