Does anyone know where I can get something like this clamp for larger size tubes(25mm shown)?


I'm thinking a luggage rack to clamp on to my roll bar would be useful and better for my painbtwork than having it sat on the bodywork and straped to the rollbar.

I could get something made but would rather get something off the shelf than ask for a(nother) favour in the machine shop at work.

Looks like something a boat might use - how about a chandlers?

looks like a bling scaffolding joint to me or the sort of thing you see clamping steel railings together...

Looks like a handlebar stem clamp off a mountain or road bike.

At least in this part of the world (the wilds of North America, in "the Great White North", pieces like that are found on nearly every boat (and every boat chandlery store) around. We can get them in stainless steel or pot metal....

I think you want to do something nice but I did this on the cheap a few years ago on a westfield. Just cut some stainless tube in half, glued old inner tube inside it and used stainless jubilee clips to hold it round the roll bar.

This was for a bike rack for two mountain bikes and worked a treat.

Thanks for the ideas - will have a look along the boating lines. My roll bar is 45mm OD in case anyone has any more ideas.

stauff gas clamps if you can get em that size , or any sort of industrial gas clamp .
