as the title says, can anybody who has a current msa blue book confirm whether there is still a statement about engines must have 2 valves per cyl,
and is there still a requirement to keep dull interior trim??
Its the road rally tech regs section by the way.
Engine -
maximum 4 cylinders
maximum 2 carburettor chokes (two single or one double)
One camshaft per bank of cylinders - which I think kind of answers your question - unless you are using a Dolly sprint engine.
If two cams then it has to have fuel injection all as original and the plenum and throttle body are un modified.
Sheesh pick and easy one why dont you....
Standard Wankle is regarded as 3 cylinders
twin rotor a no no.
All Major internal trim must remain - you can change front seats and cut trim to fit cage but not remove it - it has to be as showroom

Andy,
On a semi-related matter - is it OK to have a 'zero' car (K33.6) on a twelve-car rally and if so must they be given the route or can they be
expected to decode navs as per the competitors? As I understand they must complete the course (correctly) before any of the competitors so expecting
them to decode the route is almost certainly not on, but then I'm sure I've seen it being done.
Edit: And is the zero car covered by normal insurance (as it's not competing) or does it need to be covered under the same policy as
competitors?
Cheers,
Matt.

Hi Matt,
A bit outside of my experience which is very limited regarding organisational aspects of competitions. I would have a chat with a CofC regarding that
one.
Cheers
