Anybody here used a national conpany for transporting heavy loads on a pallet?
An engine for example, if so what was the approx cost ?

May need to get a price to move 200kg on a pallet from Portsmouth to Aberdeen,

Way too far to drive

That will be expensive, but I have heard of quite a few people have used various companpies and none have been unhappy.

Try Hampshire Freight Services at Eastleigh, I use them often. Reasonable prices and good service.

Alternative is Steve Porter Transport, got a depot in Portsmouth. Not so cheap from the island, but good on mainland. Steve is an ex racer and will be coaching my youngster (and me again!).

Call the Portsmouth Palletline Depot. I always use them and find them very good value.

Bought that engine then!

What was it?

I used palletline to ship an engine and when I sold some landrover hweels & tyres - were the cheapest.

If cost me approx £ 60 from London to Blackburn; obvously distance makes is more expensive hence why I put in those numbers.

... and although I had a pallet, the second time they supplied one.

used to use Lynx, was about £60, anywhere in mainland britain, 3 day delivery, weight not too important but load had to fit on a standard euro pallet, we used to load them up to 600kg.
This is a few years ago mind, so i expect it's gone up a bit.
