Lock Picking, any other picks out there?

Hey all

I keep seeing thread about other hobbies people have, so i was wundering if there are any other Picks out there on this forum?

Ive been picking on and off for a few months, got a half decent set f picks/locks n find it quite relaxing at times.

Thing is even though its fairly well excepted on other parts of the globe. Germany especially as they have national tournaments. Everyone ive told in the UK that i pick gives me a look like ive just told them im gonna stab them.

Anyone else tried it?

I have done it on and off for years, i even made a set of tools which i then lost, (or maybe someone picked the lock to my house and took them)

I have even used it for good on occasion, opening cash boxes with lost keys and opening front doors after losing keys

I would be interested in this but wouldn't know where to start.

It would be very useful in my job, I'm a letting Agent - Tenants are always locking themselves out and losing keys

Where would I find out more about it?

I used to be able to open the back door to our house with a 4" nail when I was a teenager, but it was so much easier to climb in through the bathroom window.

Yeah I have a fair set of picks and torsion bars and have tried it on and off for years now but never got any success. I know all the theory and how the locks work but I've never got anywhere. And yeah I know that response you get. Like you go out after dark every night and set about everybodies locks in the street and why have you never revealed this before.

www.lockpicking101.com check this out. almost as helpful as people on here, but be careful if you start asking how to get past a door lock straight off ull just be seen as a criminal and get booted out n banned from the site

I'm a closet lock picker as well. Opened lots of desk drawers/lockers etc. in work that were left locked when employees had left, and all with a bent paper clip! Definately get lots of dodgy copmments though when you do this.

At page 2 I concluded that the hobby is to unlock ?
