Hi there...

If there's one place on the net who I'm sure will come up with an answer it's this place.

Been to the cinema a few times recently and each time have seen this advert for Orange featuring a song I want to identify. The female singer has a really distinctive voice - sounds almost childlike at times. Soft and acoustic and folky - a bit like feist.

Afraid i can't remember what the hell the advert was about or what happened on it as i must have been transfixed by the song...

You could Shazam it if you have the mobile on when the advert plays.....

is that the ad when the guy is walking through the streets of new york during a power cut with a dog on top of a car and it ends up saying good things can happen when your phone is switched off, enjoy the film?

if it is I haven't got a clue

LOL thanks ned! I believe you're correct although as i say i can't really remember what happened in the add. I have found out the song anyway - it's called This Side of the Blue by Joanna Newsom. Most pleasant.

Listed in the first link from Mr G incidentally, though i'd have to have had an inkling to pick it out (or gone through em all).

S'ok, for some reason I could only find one tune on one of MrG's links, and not much on his other link....

So, this morning I re-read your description of 'folksy' and clicked on the album notes of Joanna Newsom on page 5 of my link, and it said 'folksy' so I edited my post mid morning to ask if it was her.....

Glad ya found it......
