my godson bought him self a alto to drive around in whilst i rebuild his mini, only problem is every so ofter the wiper arm socket comes off the motor, i have just had to put it back on whilst in the hard shoulder of the m61.

is they a fix to make it more tighter or is it just a case of getting a new ball and socket.

thanks

hiya mate

i used to have this problem with a Granada, short term fix was to line the socket with a this celophane type material, was a short term fix to get me home which lasted about 4 weeks
long term you will need the new part, its more likely the socket thats worn and that arm will need replacing,

How about gluing it in with araldite?

They need to turn, or it won't move properly. Would be easier if you could though.

Fiat Punto II ones are a real weak point, I drilled mine through ther cup and the ball and passed a M5 bolt through it

Good plan that! I'd probably just gone and got a new one!
