To all the drivers on the Dartford bridge at 9.00am today (Saturday)
I was trailering my middy down to Kent this morning and just as I got to the middle of the bridge, the brand new car cover that I bought from
Halfrauds the previous day (£24.99) suddenly decided to part company with the car and took off like a hang glider
. It rose about twenty feet
before plummetting onto the road behind - must of scared the crap out of the drivers behind me. I saw lots of hazard lights and swerving going on but
by that time I couldn't do anything about it. The car cover is probably in the estuary by now.
Moral of the story - Don't trust the tie down tags on Halfrauds car covers, especially in 60mph cross winds
He he. Mine blows off when on the drive way, let alone at 60!
hope it didnt cause an accident, infact maybe best to remove the thred just incase it did
ooops, what were you doing out that way ? more mapping ??
i remember using tarp going to a trackday in wales, that looked like a shark attacked it on the way
I'm fairly certain that it just got well and truly flattened so hopefully the worst it caused was a stained driver's seat
I was taking it to be painted (yay!) and the local painters were twice the cost compared to Kent. I have also seen this guy's work and he knows
my model's problem areas quite well, so I thought it was worth the journey.
Wahooo, when do you get it back. I wanna see pics

Moral sorta connected......
Two guys at our place have lost a couple of things on motorways.....
1 a set of step ladders the other a empty tea chest type box.
The guy with the ladders did what most would do, pulled up, got onto BIB too warn other road users, he got £60 and 3 points for reporting himself and
doing his best too avoid any accidents.
The 2nd guy did nothing due too what happened too number 1.
