diyer - 25/11/06 at 08:26 PM

A lot of hoodies use this site, noticed that there is not a robin hood specific forum on this fourm, maybe this could be incorporated?

PS - i am expecting sarcasm & laughter!!

I think thats by design.

Robin Hood's new owners, 'great british sports cars' posted on here a short while ago and were politely told where to go.

At least thats my impression.

graememk - 25/11/06 at 08:31 PM

We have sections for other marques, Why not Robin hood, At least they can ask for advice and the borrow of stuff on here without hassle from Facist moderators that roam there own forum.

nothing wrong at all with the RHOCAR site, twas just a thought, in a non descrimative type way!

mitch2b - 26/11/06 at 06:46 AM

i too built and own a 2b, i think theres lot of locost owners who visit RHOCAR as well as RH owners who visit here, oth sites offer lots of useful info.

At least a section to include Robin Hood, Duttons and any other without a dedicated section?

bob - 26/11/06 at 08:39 AM

I think its a good idea to expand with more dedicated areas, in fact the best information seems to come from the lower end of the kit market.

scotty g - 26/11/06 at 09:26 AM

Just had a dissagreement with the moderators on the RHOCAR forum brought about by their over enthusiastic deletion and control of threads.
It probably didn't help when i suggested that the moderators are having their danglies stroked by RH!
The builders of hoods are for the most part a very clever bunch of guys of guys and it seems that quite a few are getting pi55ed off, but their dedication to their marque is commendable, if we had an RH section i'm sure that they and us could learn a lot from each other.

TangoMan - 26/11/06 at 10:10 AM

There is no separate section for many of the smaller makes, although RH are by no means small.

As a Formula27 owner I just use the generic sections. For me this is preferred as information is shared with everyone then.

Whatever the individual views of Robin Hoods, they have a good deal of the market so including the owners in Locostbuilders can only benefit the rest of us.

andyd - 26/11/06 at 12:12 PM

I'd tend to agree... posting in a relevant section based on the problem or question at hand is far more likely to get an answer IMHO. I'm sure I miss many posts that would be of interest purely as I don't frequent any of the specific makers sections. I do use the latest posts bit but I've overlooked stuff purely because the subject didn't shout interesting at me at the time.

I agree with BEC, mid engined sections as they are types not makes an some of the posts are only to do with those types.

Just my 2p.

How about a Furore section - wouldn't be too crowded.
