Has anyone ever got anything other than an automated reply e-mail followed by silence from these muppets?
A few weeks back (on a Monday) I bought a DVD from someone listed as a UK seller sending it via Royal Mail.
Five days later (the Friday!) I got an e-mail to say it had just been posted... Two weeks later I got it sent from Guernsey via Guernsey
back-of-a-donkey post with a bloody Customs slip....
Annoyingly it had taken that long that I'd had to buy another copy in the meantime......
As Guernsey isn't part of the UK (not even part of the EU), nor is Guernsey back-of-a-donkey-post part of Royal Mail, and they hadn't
disclosed that it would sent from abroad so I'd be liable for customs I didn't feel like asking if I could get a refund. Just neg
feedbacked. They've now neg feedbacked all stroppy immediately followed by sending a mutual withdrawl request (which they've done 670 times
before accourding to their ID!!)...
I've reported them to Ebay requesting their -ve feedback to be removed as well as informing them of breach of item location descriptions but 2
weeks later I've heard nothing...
I know I could go to SquareTrade but for -ve feedback removal I'd need to go through mediation which would cost me $30...
eBay have always been really good with me. Did you process it via one of the online multiple choice forms or just send an email?
If done properly you should be able to see its status etc
ebay havent got anything apart forom all automated foreigners
unless of course you pay !
they make money out of it all cheeky twits
That seems to be a normal amount of time to wait for ebay to respond, a m8 had his account suspended, no reason given, took him over 3 weeks to get a
responce from them and then a week later they reinstated his account, although still without any explanation!
Stick with it, I think it just takes them ages to get things done.
Cheers
Alex
TBH I've given up, I just neg when it's deserved and accept the retaliatory neg.
Most ebayers will have a look at your feedback and see that the neg was retaliatory, don't sweat it, it what the feedback system is for

I did it via the multiple choice options and also via the feedback resolution place... I thought I'd get a reply via one of them!! Oh well,
perhaps it is just time!!!
I've also opened up a Paypal dispute resolution as well just to really wee the vendor off. Perhaps they'll start being honest in their
listings!!!!
What worries me most is that lots of people have given in to the "mutual feedback withdrawl request", so the feedback system basically
collapses...
But yup- I always read any -ve feedback to see what it was about, so I doubt it will be a problem for me.... I just want to see him get nailed for
telling porkies!! Then I can send him an e-mail wishing him a Merry Christmas... Hehehe...
The feedback system is useless, and when I tried to question ebay about it I got..... an automated response! Basically the abililty for someone to leave you negative feedback when you have done a "pay now" is crazy. I raised the point that many large sellers seem to have an automated feedback system that leaves you feedback when you leave it, even though you complete the purchasing part of the transaction first, but ebay didn't seem interested - they said that is just the way it works. As it stops people leaving negative for fear of retaliation it undermines the whole system in my view, but we seem to be stuck with it.
