NS Dev - 21/12/06 at 02:22 PM

Old footage but I never knew a grasser held the world indoor speed record!!!!

Beat an F1 car, not too bad really!!! Now you see why I keep going on about traction and breaking stuff on the startline!!!

Indoor speed record on BBC linky

Wondered where you'd been. I beat you to it on this one Old link
Unfortunately Phil is a member of one of the clubs in the North Western League the same as me, not that I see much of him in a race!

Grrrr, it really irritates me when reporters feel they have to make a cheap crack to maintain interest. "Upturned wheelbarrow with an engine strapped to it", "wheelbarrow machine". "this thing", insulting muppet <snort>.

Well done to Phil Cooper for breaking the record. Proving it doesn't have to be pretty to be effective.

I take it the people round you are never surprised then?

"Proving it doesn't have to be pretty to be effective" - Phil's has to be one of the better looking Autograss cars. Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder!

NS Dev - 21/12/06 at 03:25 PM

Yea, tis a pretty nice machine it has to be said!!!

Anybody that can, get yourselves to the NEC for the Autosport show, and go watch the live action area, the oval show!

You'll be hooked, I was!

Well I've not seen any Autograsser I'd try to pull in
Well finished and superbly engineered isn't the same as pretty, well not to my eye anyway.

But when you get to my stage in life, priorities change!
