OK, so its only Discovery Civilisations, but its the episode of Weapons that Made Britain : Sheild

I popped up in the others a bit. I'm the big sod in autum combat trousers and probably a hat (as it was very sunny). [1]

It was all filmed in the same woodded area as Gladiator. A lovley setting it was.


[1] The aim was to get everyone in modern kit for a stylistic thing, i.e they couldn't get Viking/Saxon kit for several hundred other people.

Could have made a bit of an effort, sticky tape and red & gold paper...wooden sword??
