macnab - 30/12/06 at 09:31 PM

would look nice all lit up from behind.

Not sure that the polycarbonate would be rigid enough how are you going to keep them free of brake dust? Naff idea for show cars that don't actually drive anyplace IMHO

Just stick it on castors and bodge tape a tyre to the wheel arch! Rubbish things. Wouldn't trust them one bit.

bilbo - 30/12/06 at 11:12 PM

Looks like they'd be really bad for brake cooling as well.

Howlor - 30/12/06 at 11:17 PM

The heat i've had in calipers over the years it would be like driving on a set of pringles!

Agree, cooling and dust must be a major problem, maybe flex too.

Ok on a show stand though maybe.

They only look cool on cars with ginormous brakes. It would look absolutely pathetic on anything with normal road-brakes, even on that 350Z it looks like crap!

Peteff - 31/12/06 at 12:17 AM

Nuff said!

RazMan - 31/12/06 at 12:19 AM

Far too Max Power imo - right up there with led washer nozzles

Bloomin dodgy too - polycarbonate instead of nice strong alloy? [shudder]

zetec7 - 31/12/06 at 12:32 AM

With lots of brake application (= rotors glowing hot), I'd be surprised if they didn't melt or yellow...I think wheels should be made of proper metal, as God intended.

jlparsons - 13/1/07 at 12:10 AM

They'd be scratched to buggery in ten miles time, then you've got yourself some very expensive off-white hubcabs. On the other hand, I would shake the hand of the man who takes big money off rich idiots for a set of these!
