Wadders - 1/1/07 at 04:21 PM

Iv'e got loads of hi-8 video tapes that i want to copy, edit out all the crap, and then archive, but am clueless about how to do it.
Iv'e hooked the camera up to the p.c, and can playback the video on screen using ulead video studio 6 but i can't suss out how to actually record the footage? There seems to be loads of different options regarding formats etc , which should i be using??
Anyone able to give me a quick rundown of what i should be doing? Would a different program be easier to use for a video numpty like myself?

Cheers
Al.
