Considering they both share DNA - that's hardly surprising!
The 'book' chassis is even closer to Westfield (narrow), which is where most Seven-a-like mfrs on here started.

I've just looked then looked again and again and i cant see anything on that chassis that resembles my MK engineering Indy or for that matter an MK sportscars Indy either.

There is though some steel with a black coating on

ok so there's minor differences (seems a bit less few less tubes to mine and less complete) but on the whole it’s much the same especially at the front.

Like said above, it's closer to the book chassis. I noticed that when I got the first book and compared it to a few kits in the mags. Only Robin Hood & quantum had totally original designs at the time.

I'm really surprised at the price its going for I'd have thought it would be considerably more.

Is there a reserve on it ?

macnab - 9/1/07 at 01:21 PM

yip and it says it's not been met so I could be anything.

Current bid is at £210

That's one thing I can't stand about e-bay, that you can't see the expected price. he could have £10000 and you never know.

Hmm not like any wide independent westfield chassis i have seen as the front is pure se and still has a tube missing.

cheers matt

WSEi - would indicate a narrow body SEi would it not - especially built 91.

Looks exactly like the drawing in my SE/SEi build manual. And the most part the same as my SE

Would need all the narrow body suspension and Westy diff carrier for the english axle nose etc. Front end easy to come bay - Narrow body work is another matter.

Andrew

What tubes missing? bearing in mind its a Pinto chassis not a X-flow CVH chassis

Hi the early sei with westfields own diff carier was never in wide version only narrow.

The add clearly states that it is wide so should have the sierra diff back end but the front chassis dose not have the short rear engine bay diagonals .

so the front and rear parts of the chassis dont seem to match up. unless the add is wrong and as andy s says it is the earlier narrow with their own diff housing with the english escort diff in then as he also says where the hell are you going to get all the bits from as the diff housings are like rocking horse poo and to get the proper stronger shafts made will also cost a fair wedge.

Would be best to check the given chassis number with westfield direct. And see if it checks out correctly.

cheers matt
