I think this is worthwhile. Its on an official Gov't Website.
I dont agreee with even more "Big Brother Tracking Systems" for motorists.
We are already the most watched country in Europe.

it was reported in the times, that an online petition about road charging had attrached a lot of attention (and also a comment that Blair intended to ignore it!)

paulf - 11/1/07 at 10:12 PM

Well thats a suprise, they can just ignore it or make out it was in valid or doesnt truly reperesent the views of the general public. A bit like Bliar really.

Was mentioned on Talksport a week or so back and on Radio 2 this afternoon.

It's actually an official "be a friend of Tony Blair" thing, except this one may turn round and kick him in the nuts.

It's all hidden deep inside new report on suggested changes to the London congestion charge scheme.... they have 'sneaked' in all sorts including the ability to apply tolls on any trunk road that passes through a greater london borough! that includes the A1, M1, M3, M4,M25 .............

Oh yes - and up to 6 yeras in prison for tampering with the transponder in your car
