anywya, does all I need it to do, make calls, take photos and play music and it is about the last one of these I have a question.

My mp3 are on the meory stick that when plugged into a pc will appear as a folder named after thae artist with tracks in that folder. Now when I use the media player on the phone, there is one folder, since all tracks are called "01 Track 01.mp3" or similar, there is no way to know the artist !!

so anyone know if there is some feature on the phone that allows you to organise tracks according to artist name (or album name),

As a last resort I can always rename the tracks on the memory cars using my PC.

You can sort by artist, go into the media player, then all music, then press the right hand button to choose more, go to sort, then artist.

That won't tell you who the artist is, to find that out, you need to highlight a track from the playlist, then press more, then information. If you've entered that on the computer it should be on the phone.

If you wanted to be able to access each album/artist seperately, you'd need to make a different playlist for each one.

You can also edit the track name on the phone, go to File Manager, Sounds, highlight the track you want, press more, go down to Manage Files, press select and go down to rename.
