I must've trodden on the Popes corns in a past life or summat! Last Saturday I was fully welding up the rear quarter panel then grabbed hold of
the chassis rail to get out of the car and put a nice inch wide burn across the width of my palm then later on I slipped with the hacksaw and cut my
thumb above the knuckle and below the nail but went quite deep and hit the nail underneath I think, stung a bit! Then Wednesday gone I was welding
again and again grabbed hold and burnt my other hand and then later on slipped again with the saw and cut into the top of my middle finger and down
under the nail. Then yesterday I was minding my own business emptying the washing machine and whacked my knee on the edge of the fridge and was
rolling around and now have a massive bruise and lump and then get this, this morning I went out to go to work and discovered someones been into my
car, been through everything and nicked the tax disc! Wierd thing is there's no damage and they locked the car afterwards!! I tell you, I must
have upset someone and this is the karma I just can't think though. I even walked an old lady home arm in arm the other day when the winds were
howling cos she couldn't stand up in it!!

Oh and editited to say when I got to work a woman there had scraped her car and dinted it on the gate so I was trying to T Cut the bad bits away and
tried pulling the worst of the dent out and guess what, yep, I cut my knuckle!

yeh ive got a burn scar 1" wide by 3" long on the inside of my arm from when I welded the inside of my chassis
I would take a week off if i where you.
Time to go back to bed for a while!
Yeah. I do start getting really itchy if I have any spare time and I do literally spend all my spare time on it, though I don't get an awful lot
due to work but I've always said to myself that when I feel I'm uneccesarily(?) rushing things or getting pi55ed off with summat I'll
walk away so's not to cock it up. So its not as though I've been unduly careless in any way, I really don't know. I cut and welded all
the chassis myself and avoided all injuries there and I worked for 7 years in the RAF as an explosives and aircraft technician and avoided any real
injuries. I reckon I'm cursed, but just for a couple of weeks, you know, one of them part time curses by them YTS witch doctors or summat
Ahhh! So that must be why welders wear gloves.

Been there, done that, got the scars.
My usual trick was to put on all the safety gear, do my weld, take my gloves off, think about something else and then try to pick up the workpiece...
ouch!
What I usually do when all is going wrong is to pack up and walk away - after all, I'm not doing it for a wage! Sometimes the Force isn't
with you, and you're better off watching TV for the evening.
Often the job goes right the next day, when I come back refreshed.

you just be glad you didn't have a year as bad as mine was last year !
I hope that it ain't true.
7 good years and 7 bad.
If then this is only the beginning
Seems like an odd combination, something the majority of people try to keep well separated
Well, you know what they say..."no good deed goes unpunished". They're right. I just haven't figured out who "they"
are. Once I do, I'll ask them why this is so - it seems so unfair
