I have a combi boiler and i feel the need to get it on some sort of service and maintenance contract.
Who on here has one and with whom and would you recommend it?
Looking for best options for the money.
thanks
I use homeserve, cheap but can't really complain about the service, not as good as the British Gas offering but nearly half the price
Cheers
Alex
Get hold of the manufacturer's manual and you can do it all yourself, they are far simpler than a car!
Caber
It was the price of parts i was concerned about.
PCB's that can cost £250+ etc etc,
Better off paying for a serive and maintenence contract that covers it all IMO???

I agree with Caber - they'res nothing complicated about them; just like a glorified gas kettle with a timer.
My neighbour had a contract with British Agast & when she called on them after paying monthly for 18 months they said they couldn't repair
her boiler for 5 weeks.
BTW if replacing a bioler; buy nothing but a Worcester ; ask any central heating engineer & they'll tell you the same.
[I've got a 35CDi !
That'll impress you!]
ditto 24sbi and pressure vessel hung the boiler and piped the tank not rocket science and piad a corgi guy to hook it up and test it
£250 is what the rip-off service engineers might charge for a PCB. I found mine on line for £69. I was once charged £50 for a diaphragm that you can
buy for about a pound.
Have a look at eg www.mjtcontrols.co.uk to check out spares
