Try Drayton Welding & Tool Connections Ltd telephone: 01529 414774 in Sleaford.

Last time I rang them they did the pub style Co2 on exchange so they may do other gasses ?

Why use Argon - Could use CO2 (carbon dioxide). You could be-friend you local publican. As they use this for pumping lager.
Watch Mixed gas used for beers like guiness won't work

if you are in a hurry, consider getting a small disposable bottle. I know its inefficient, but sometimes its best to just get progress!

can CO2 be used i thought it was only argon for mig on mild steel. i have considered one of the small disposables but tryin everything else first then its a last resort

Mild steel is the most welder-friendly metal - the ideal gas is something like Argoshield from BOC, which is a mixture of Argon, CO2 & other gasses.

Cheapest and easiest to find is CO2 - hotter, more splatter, but otherwise a good shielding gas. Some welders seem to prefer it.
