Just been told that the revised governamnt fuel/mileage rate for company carcompany use has been reduced from 10p/mile to 9p/mile (up to 2000cc Diesel engine).

You can rest assured that Diesel won't be getting cheaper either

I recko it's a stealth "Green" tax to make us drive slower and more economically.

is that the diesel comparable rate to the petrol 40ppm?

45mpg = 10miles/litre = 9p/mile at current prices. Sounds about right to me...

I don't think that is right.

There is a form that you can use to claim back mileage above what your employer pays and I thought it was around 35p inclusive for Diesels.

V30 or something like that from memory.

I'm checking into this, but I think this is for people driving their own car's for work purposes. I'll post back when I've found out.
