how reliable r they??
Have heard very good things about them.
Did see one having an engine change after 2500miles once though!
But i think the driver/owner was more of an owner, if you see what i mean?

i've had a evo for about 2 years and i'm selling it becasue i'm buying a house and need to cut down my outgoings. I'm thinking a s2000 will be really good to own and theyre cheap ish now. JUst wondered if they were expensive to maintain.
Just found this;
"Warranty is for three years or 90,000 miles, and service intervals are every 9,000."
Could be a bit pricey to service?
But good if things go wrong under warranty i guess.
Also read somewhere that the engine often need attention.
Cracking cars though. Would have one myself, if i could afford it!

All hondas last 4 ages! I don't think honda make a bad engine! and if the rest of the car breaks the engine/box will go in a seven very well!
I had one for 12 months, never missed a beat, servicing was average, mind you it only had 1 service during my ownership.
Driving postition not perfect but I am 6ft 4'', only other criticism would be the digital rev counter, slow and a bit of a gimmick.
S2000 is as near to bullet proof as you will get on a motor of that performance/litre
It is a well proven motor from the Type R range

hi i have a civic type r .it has the same engine and yes it rocks .say hello to 8600rpm all day long just keep a eye on the oil and all will be well.
also lots of tuning Good's are also available bullet proof if you look after it hope this helps cheers paul
yeh thanks for replys guys. Every1 reckons a s2000 will be cheaper to run than a evo so hopefully i'll be quids in.
only 1 question left to ask
r they quick?
isn't the s2000 engine similar in construction to the k-series
ie
all-alloy super sandwich
The Civic TypeR and the S2000 engine are not one and the same thing, the S2000 engine is an F Series engine (F20C), the Civic engine is a (not the) K Series (K20A)
