Fsking can't get the gunge out of the nooks and cranies of the diff.
End up filling it with 10W40 after picking up the wrong can (fsk knows why they are labelled and even a different shape). Still I guess I can flush it
out with 80W later then fill it properly.
To round it off, as I shut the garage door I forgot the lamp was hanging off it. It hit the ground, smashed the glass and the flourescent bulb in
there too.
Fcking rats testicles.

It must be summat about Valentines day. I had one of those days too at work after general abuse all day, following drug addicts, rooting through
stinking abondoned flats that people (drug addicts!)keep breaking into and leaving used needles around (filthy bastards!) and some fu**ing fud in his
early 50's threatening to put me in hospital! If this was all last year I would've still been in the forces and they'd have got the
nasty end of a rifle in their faces. T1ts!

Paraffin for your clean out my friend - Not too much and give it a good prod around with sharp plastic bits - Drain out, air dry and then fill up -
Happy days...
Yeah, I didn't know if parafin would affect the bearings or not? Are they sealed units?
Got a gallon of parafin to do clean up with at least.
Oh, now I've got a fsking raging cold too
If it's any help, I already know that tomorrow will start off crap as I have to drive to Rushden, a 45 or so min drive for 8.00am to put a
6" section of 2.5mm wire in to a meter installation. Then drive back again. Damn my auditor for messing it up!!
Hi, i presume your talking about swilling out the internals of the diff are you? Do you think red diesil would be ok to do the same? I have 2 lsds to do and one open diff which some muck fell into when i opened it, wasnt sure whether it was wise to swill them out particularly the lsd (viscous)
The lsd is in a sealed unit, so it won't be affected. Any thing petroleum based should do it, white spirit or similar being nice and thin so it drys fairly easily too. You could always run it for a while and just change the oil if not sure.
ok thanks,ill do that
Arrrgg to round it off, I'm downloading Oracle R12 (33 gig of it) and getting time outs.
R12? Didnt even know R11 was available for download. Is this via oracle.com still?
Sorry a little OT I know.
