Radio Controlled Alarm clock

Anyone got any ideas on this one.

I've had a radio controlled alrm clock for years and I've noticed recently that the time has gone haywire on a number of occasions, usually during the night

It shouldn't be a battery problem as the alarm times always remain the same i.e. its not an internal power failure and it warns when the battery is getting low.

The signal indicator very seldomly seems to be receiving unless I move it to the bedroom windowsill where it gets three bars, but it should operate without a signal at all once the time is set, just not as accurately.

I was wondering if my bluetooth modem and phone where sending out signals close to the old Rugby one or something daft like that.

It's the wardrobe monsters, make sure you shut the door properly or they get out in the night and do mean stuff like alter the alarm and hide your socks and pants.

Thank god for the internet! that would have had me tearing my hear out.

Problem is the clocks saying 5:05 when its really 9:30 and I should have been at my work an hour ago, anyone who reads this site from my work will now be thinking "When WAS the last time you turned up at work on time", to be honest I cannot remember

Discounting the wardrobe monsters! btw are they flares and kipper ties! any clues

I'd suspect the phone (not the bluetooth) GSM phones kick out some evil AM interference and the rugby signal is pretty simple AM style signal. If the clock isn't picking up the rugby signal all the time it won't correct itself if it is corrupted by something.

p.s Apparently the Rugby transmitter is moving to Anthorn in Cumbria 1 April 2007. Which should help a lot

p.p.s. until then try leaving the phone in another room and see if it helps.
