Random I know, but I am thinking of getting the 1.6 polo GTI (2000 or 2001)...

Does anyone on here have one or know if there are any issues with them?

Excellent car, I work at a VAG bodyshop and there are no warranty issues. Make sure the cambelt has been changed, it is expensive as you need to change the tensioners at the same time or they shatter taking the belt with them and consequently the engine as well.

I dont supose you know what the expected MPG should be with average abuse?

A good example is a lot of money (I am poor lol) so im hoping its a good car
