All well and good getting rid of MCOB (I'm not bothered either way about it to be honest, I'm quite a fan of Considerably, he pointed out a few harsh truthes I thought), but please do not start digging up posts from over five years ago to try and shift it from top spot because it ain't gonna happen.

How did you think that a post that was forgotten years ago would become the most viewed thread? Or the longest? That's longest not oldest. Common sense goes a long way, but don't take it personally.
I had always assumed that 'Longest Running Threads' referred to time (between the first and last post of the thread), not the amount of
posts in the thread.
Explains why my experiment didn't work then!

I tried that when as a compromise after my original poll indicated that although the majority were in favour of deleting the thread many felt that
this form of censorship was the thin edge of the web.
The thread should be deleted.
It is offensive to to a certain group of people and it is embarrassing for the vast majority of normal sane people who regularly use this site.
Visitors to the site take a 5 minute look at the site and conclude that we are a buch of bigots which on the whole we are not.
The author of the thread has not been on the site for over a year so why are his words so sacred?
Just because someone publishes something doesn't make it right for evermore and in this case it can't just die and go away because visitors
to the site will keep looking at it because it is top of the list - not because it is a good or helpful post.
If it wasn't at the top of the lists no-one would look at it any more and it wouldn't matter.
Perhaps instead of most viewed and longest running we could have popular stickies or something?

Ditto what Mark has said. GET RID OF IT.
If you owned a company and someone defaced your sign to say "the MD is a tosser" or "this company sucks" etc would you just leave
it and accept it as a valid form of self expression????????? Iam pretty sure it would be cleaned off very quickly.
The MCOB is nothing short of this, even the basic title is offensive and obstructive.
