Bouldy - 3/3/07 at 03:36 PM

Do you know i have just had my insurance renewel for my Mk from Adrian flux. 2006 payment was £189 for the year.

New quote for 2007 £261.00 !!!! After picking myself up of the floor i phoned around a few and found a quote of Graham sykes with exactly the same polocy for £160.00. thats a hundred quid saving, unreal.!! . it realy pisses me of because then i rang Flux and they matched it. so why charge me 261 quid in the first place???? robbin bastards

I never go back to the original company after they do a price match - always go with the new lot, REALLY pisses me off too ...... I have to say Flux aren't my favourite company either..

would have gone with sykes on principal, got my renewal from sureterm 168 quid 10 quid less than last year. pity the cars sold!!

yeh i think they are not my favourite anymore either. will go with graham sykes 160.00 fully comp which includes roadside recovery ? how goods that ! flux can swivel now.....

Good plan to tell them to stuff it.
Make sure they know why, Perhaps they will think twice next time,
Do they think we are totally stupid?
Steve.

Hi when you moved to graham sykes did you have to send photos + a official valuation from a Kit car manufacturer ? to get a price guarantee

No they just agreed 10000 value. maybe they wil ask for some ?? i had to send flux some photos. sykes has sent me an offical quote so i suppose its ok .

certainly a lot better than 261 quid.
to let you no what the quote was calculated on was : mk indy 3.5 v8 fully comp (3 points) roadside recovery £160 but it is parts only!!! which i would rather have if i prang it.

I always ring at least half a dozen or so insurance companies come renewal time and use the cheapest quote to get a better deal from my current insurers (which just happens to be Flux)

Regardless of which company you use, they'll all try to shaft you on annual renewal. (At least in my experience). Principles/morals don't even come into it.

They want my money and I want the best/cheapest deal possible.
