hi iam starting to build a car but now iam thinking build just for the track so i havent gotta mess about ith an sva or things like that how much
hassle is it to get a sva when building a locost
adam
where are you in the uk, it might be worth you meeting up with some local builders to chat to face to face and be shown what to do and look out
for.
oh and come here every day and read read and read
What you have to consider though is that every time you want to take it out it will cost you £150ish for a track day and if it aint running right then
youve just wasted it.
At least with it road legal you can make sure everything is correct before the big day. And you can enjoy it for the cost of just the fuel on the road
in between the track days.
The extra cost of SVA and the parts required is minimal and the resale value will be higher with a road legal car.

With a Locost it is not that difficult to get through SVA - the cars are pretty simple, the regulations are not that hard to address and 1000s of us
have been through it before.
You should find help on here about any questions you might have.
piece of cake, no serioulsy it should be.
there are a lot of parts out there that are made with SVA in mind.
my case was harder than most on here since it was a plan built car started, from memory, about 8 yrs ago, before the current SVSA regs came into
place. I had to redo some stuff so had the parts been newer, I wouldn't have had to do.
i was going to build my car just for the track but then thought its a lot of money sitting in the garage just for a few track days a year,it sits in the garage anough as it is with our weather. when the nice weather comes you'll be kicking your self if its not sva'd
i havent got the new book yet just the old one. but i was going to use the old one cus i cut all the parts about a year ago.and i dont no how many changes are in the new one. i bought it from halfords can you get the new one from there or do you have to order it online
