Ooops!
ATB
Simon
Still at least with his insewerance he gets to do the build process all over again.
how sad...he is.
I know a lad who flies model jets. They cost something like £1500-£2000 just for a basic model. He says that it's nearly impossible to get insurance for them.
insurance will be for theft... not for crashing...
No way can you insure these things in the air

I don't have a jet myself but help some of the guys at our club fly theirs.
The power they produce has got to be felt to be believed, if you hold a jet back while on full throttle by pushing on its nose it can practically push
you backwards!
Most accidents happen during landings as they come in like missiles (about 50mph) and need the full length of our flying site to stop. Most are caught
out by the long spool up time from idle, about 5 seconds! not what you need when you've goofed up the landing...
In the air though they’re not all that interesting since they go so quickly most maneuvers are simply turns to keep it in sight and big loops. I had
been very interested in a fighter jet but after seeing the problems the others were having and the huge number of crashes I changed my mind. That was
until recently, now there are turbines only around 3 inches long! Still plenty of power but far easier to fit in a simple cheap airframe so I may get
one of these, you can’t beat the sound of a jet engine!!
