That's so close, it's got to being made under licence?

Mind you a click through there website doesn't show much under the "innovation" tab!

Close?
Looks a bit heavy to me.
The aton has a lot less panels.

Good to know that the rear aerodynamics are inspired by a D-type Jag. Cutting edge stuff hey!!

front looks a bit american muscle car i think. Baracuda?

bartonp - 15/3/07 at 08:36 AM

Nah - it's more 'Fiat Multipla' at the front!

THe deronda was show at the autosport International show four years ago. Has been quiet since, apparently until now.

It's heavier than an atom but has much more room in the engine bay. The original car had an Audi 1.8T with audi transaxle.

There was plenty of room to put a V8 in there.

Strange that they are on the market again.

Didnt it get into the top 10 worst cars EVO had driven a few months back in the 100th issue?

Obviously they might have made some improvements to the handling by now, but i think as the saying goes 'Buyer Beware'.

why's that?

because at the pub, you'd have to say 'i drive a ........ deronda'

what a hideous name, for a hideous car!
nothing's quite like an atom

From what i remember.....

They had the car twice so they gave it a chance, once it understeared horribly and the other time it oversteered rather dramatically and both times it came without bumpstops on the steering so wheels rubbed bodywork (this is one is fairly easily fixed).

As i said this is probably just a setup issue, but I definitely would take a test drive on the track before thinking about buying one (not that i am)
