A friend has just locked herself out of her Ka with the keys in it. Quite an old Ka without central locking. Are there any quick fixes without breaking a window? coat hanger?
put a wedge through the top of the window and use a coat haner to open the lock handle. quite easy
Great thanks, Friend is about 50 miles away. Was about to go on a rescue mission with clothes hanger. Luckily she has AA cover and the very nice man is on the way...
Tell here that breaking the window is the only answer.
Great feeling putting your foot through the window, and it'll teach her a lesson 
Other than that get a flat piece of plastic or put masking tape on the egde of a wood saw blade and slide it down through the window rubber to flick
the catch. Or so I've been told.
AA man, just wedged the door on mine with some plastic wedges. Then used a long coat hanger to hook the door handle. Unfourtunately I had double
locked it! So he had to open the bonnet, feed a live feed back down the plug going to the coil pack. This meant he could then wind the windows down
and open the door. Very clever!
Guess how I found out that when you open just the boot it doesnt unlock the doors!
He was telling me loads of other ways to break into cars too! Loads of new ones have impact sensors that unlock the doors incase the car is in an
accident. If you know where it is a careful aimed blow with a screwdriver will unlock all the doors. Problem is most of the sensors are behind light
clusters or bumpers.

Reminds me of a story of a prison officer at the local kiddie type prison. He thought he would be really clever and ask one of the car theives to open
the car up for him as he had a whole building full of them at their disposal. A rather bemused little scrote said that he would get the keys for him
and asked him if he was really shure he wanted him to have a go. The officer said yes, so he picked up a stone and smashed the window in, as thats how
he nicked cars 
Mate recently got a new Peugeot cabriolet and managed to lock the keys in the boot. He was in Grantham and the spare keys in Lingfield , Surrey . Managed to get the main dealer in Peterborough.to collect car on transporter , they could not unlock car and had to phone Peugeot in France to get information . Ended up costing him a small fortune.
