Just fancied a cheap electric guitar - my daughter is learning to play and I strummed a little when I was a kid.

Anyone got any suggestions or a locost one for sale

Iv got a les paul copy, humbucker pickups make a nice thick tone.. come to think of it, I havn't played it for ages...

cheap guitars often need a lot of fiddling to set them up. I bought one last year for similar reasons to yourself, got a £50 one on ebay, its a twat to tune (right at the bottom is wrong at the top) but it works and i have improved loads on it.

Buy a cheap one to make sure you are serious, then if in a few years you are still keen maybe get a better one.

I have a big sod off stage amp in the garage but never get round to using it!

ive got an electric one with amp. gig bag picks. spare strings. electronic tuner. new strings on it. still like new. its the black one in the argos book had it a few years but i upgraded a while ago so not used it
its suitable for a beginner nice sound
you can have it for £50 if you want thats with post cus the other half keeps moaning about it being in the bedroom with my 2 other ones or will swap for something anything can post pics if you want

Ive just got an Epiphone Les paul Standard.

Its a quality mid-ish range guitar so if what im playing sounds crap, its MY fault.
I didnt want to buy the cheapest thing around and be constantly thinking 'is it me or the guitar that sounds awful'

and i got it 130 quid cheaper by importing it from germany (and got another 30 quids worth of free stuff bundled with it!)

more than i expected to pay, but if for some reason i decided to sell, it'd hold its value pretty well.

My first electric was an Epiphone Les paul Studio, I too was suprised at how well it held its value when I sold it on when I upgraded to a more expensive guitar.
