Mini Repair Specialist in Essex?
RazMan - 22/3/07 at 11:39 PM

My niece has been sold a wreck of a Mini. If it was anyone else I would be advising them to scrap it and buy another one but it is her first car and she has just passed her test in it, so she loves it and thinks it is worth the effort to repair it. It is a 1987 model which needs a new rear subframe and some other welding (mainly floor).

Does anyone know of a Mini specialist in the Essex area who will do the work at a reasonable price?

The rear frame is fairly simple to change (8 bolts hold it in), welding the floor can be really time consuming though, depending upon where it's gone.

There's one in Braintree, near Freeport! Not sure how you define cheap, but from those that have used them, there supposed to be good. If I can find the name I'll let you know.

I've got a mini rear subframe she can have for free if you can get it from Newcastle to Essex.

Needs a wire brush and a lick of paint, but its in reasonable nick.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to give Z cars a call.
