No, not Tescos and Morrisons this time...

Yesterday I was working on my Yaris, so I got into my daughter's car to go and get some bits (I'm minding it for her while she's in Oz). BING - fuel low warning, so I had to go and put some in the tank.

Wife came home and announced that she'd filled up her car.

When I finished the Yaris brakes I got into the Locost - tank nearly empty, so had to call into the petrol station before I went anywhere.

Finally got into the Yaris - guess what - tank nearly empty!

Maybe I should have titled this topic "money shortage".

Sounds like someone's been playing Jeremy Clarkson's Petrol Light Bingo on you. The rules of the game are these:

Drive your car till the low fuel warning lamp comes on.
Drive past the next filling station.
Drive past the one after that.

If you win, you make it home and the next person to use the car fills it up.
If you lose, you run out of fuel.

Petrol shortage is a permanant feature of my V8 Viento
