Saw this on ebay thismorning and thought it looked like an amazing deal (possibly too good)...a new car of that age is worth about £19,000...

The thing is, the auction and pictures look genuine

I emailed the chap and asked him if the engine ran etc...and this was his reply..

What do I do?...

that'll need a full cockpit module as the PAB has deployed, and that'll set you back well over £1000 without fitting and delivery time. all Sensors will need resetting too. I'd stay clear in all honesty

New ebay vendor who sounds like they're going to disclose stuff after you've bid (and probably after the sale finishes)??.... I wouldn't touch them with a very long bargepole....

i think he means what does he do about reporting the scam, not whether he should fall for it or not!

click community, safety centre, report a problem, other problem, listing breach, fraudulent listing, suspect no bid, enter the item number and a reason.

Ive reported this item already.

i will never send money over £100 with ebay. Any more and i collect. If they are gen they will let you come. I bought a robin 2b of ebay and the guy wanted a cheque before collection. I said no way as he was a newbie. Agreed to pay cash on collect. Smooth deal.
