Anyone use a Green Cone for recycling?

Thinking about getting one of these:
http://www.greencone.co.uk/home.asp?lang=1

Anyone used one or got any opinions about effectiveness etc. etc.?

Thanks,
James

just burn it in an old oil drum

isn't this just a composter? chuck it in with the cut grass or give it to the birds or put it in next doors bin.

Sounds contrary to all other composting info I have seen - it includes meat products!

We used to have a compost bin (plastic thing similar to a large dustbin with no bottom onto soil) and had huge problems with small flies. Also had mice (I hope...) burrowing underneath and making their home in it, so we got rid of it.

yuk - imagine the smell!

load of nonsense unless your very strict about what you put in it and manage it very well.

you cant just chuck stuff in and it 'magics' it into something else.

Once the novelty wares off it will become the thing that will cost you a few hours of car building time to dismantle and take the smelly contents to the tip.

I agree, would end up like a sewer pit stinking to high heaven then the folk next door would give you an ASBO

We used to store it all in a rubbish sack and dig a whole in the garden and bury it at the weekend.

"reduces food to carbon dioxide and water". Don't tell Gordon Brown or he'll want to tax your CO2 emmissions.

What's waste food?
Is it some sort of slimming aid?

That sounds like a surefire way to attract rats. You'll have endless hours of fun with an air rifle shooting the blighters.

Get some pigs! They will eat all your waste food and when they're big enough you can eat them. The perfect and natural way to recycle. It's easy , I've done it!

mr whipper got it right"Buy one of those fangled 3 in 1 waste disposal unit, bugular alarm and foot cossy things i.e. a dog "
anyhow, recycling is a leftie ideal best left to tree huggers/students in 2nd hand jumpers who smell or lentils

"The Green Cone reduces food waste to its natural components of water, carbon dioxide and a small residue."

Been said said already, chuck it in a big fire Does exactly the same, only quicker.
