stevec - 2/5/07 at 05:01 PM

My Brother has a 1997 Ford Galaxy Diesel.
He is fitting a bit of kit to run the fridge and charge the battery in his caravan,Yes my brothers a Shed Dragger.
Where on these cars is the best place to pick up a ignition supply to trigger the relay to activate the system.?
Thanks.
Steve.

Depends how much load you are going to take but there are two very convieniently placed cigarlighter/ancilary sockets in the rear on the left, you can tap into the feed from the ignition, will only run with ignition on.

If you look at say the towsure site you'll find a relay that does'nt need an ign feed it has an inbuilt voltage sensor that triggers itself when it see's say 14 volts or so.

Thanks, so the ancillary sockets are not like peramanent live fag lighters?
The relay trigger load is very light.
