I had that pleasure today.

£52.10 to stand all the way there and all the way back.

Quality service I say...

Me too. Daylight robbery. And the government wonders why the roads are still so busy ...
Cheers

Hope you don't mind rich bastids looking down their noses at you, that area is full of chinless wonders. You'll never see more X5's and cayenne's parked up in one road than round the back there. I have the pleasure of working in Harrods two months a year, even the staff there fall into either thinking they are better than everyone by association, or turning into simpering sycophants. Joy

I'll think of you as i'm tourist-dodging in Tussauds tomorrow

i used to get the trains all the time, my girlfriend was at uni in sheffield while i was here in southampton, would see each other every two weeks. Luckily i had a student card so wasn't too bad, it used to be great in my first year, you could get those advance tickets, so there and back was less than 30 quid.

though after that year, the supply of advance tickets dried up. so ihad to get a saver return when i got to the station, though this was £45 or so which wasn't too bad.

Also the train is great for random conversations, have had some great ones over the years. I have always thought that trains were expensive if more than one person was going on them, much cheaper in a car.
