i recon its just too hot, though I've been quite happy in the heat, as its very quiet at work, what with people being on holidays and off to the beach etc.

I'm allowed to be grumpy as I'm in the middle of 11 days on the trot at work on overtime - not too bad for you 9-5 boys but I normally only do 3 x 12 hour shifts a week! Still, plenty of cash for the Luego!

Yesterday someone I work with told me about a function he went to recently.

He met up with a couple of minor celebs.

One was called Cathy summat or other who now does shopping channels. She told him that when shes on TV she has to be there for THREE HOURS without a break of any kind.

He also met Compos replacement. He stated that he had a day of filming the next day at studios, then next week had to drive all the way to yorkshire for another days work.


How do these poor bas%^ards cope I wonder!

Either:

I don't think people are meaning to be a bit sharp, but if like me, you work in an office, it tends to be quicker to reply in a way that may appear abrupt, by shortening their replies.

Or

People not grumpy, at work, in a hurry.

Did that work?

Normally this group varies from neutral to jokey. This last couple of days some answers have been really sharp...

Doesn't bother me too much - none of the spite was aimed at me - and anyway, in the past I've been insulted by real experts!

Its VERY HOT plus the kids have got another 5 weeks off school,enough to drive some parents to alcahol i reckon.

That's what the wife says I've got. Pulled a muscle in my back the other day so that's my excuse, must get a new chair.
