i think the best way forward, is to report any threads he posts on but dont reply to the thread directly and give the pratt the satisfaction of
thinking hes getting some where, its just fanning the fires,
let the mods/operators of this site deal with him in the back round

Seems as though the addition of a . to the user name defeats whatever has been put in place to filter him out
Having had my mind seriously disturbed by being misfortunate enough to have viewed 'that' image the first time he put it up, I think this is
now a police issue.
That's some very very sick stuff there, and the precedent is now established in law for him to be considered the publisher for having posted it.
Some of you may think that is an over reaction, but I certainly don't. Locostbuilders is a safe corner of the internet and must be kept like
that.
Time for one of the resident IT experts to step up to the plate and track him down. Then we report him to the authorities. Otherwise, he isn't
going away.

My first instinct is to ask TimC to find this waster then we should arrange the largest ever Locostbuilders meet outside his house! Of course that
would probably be illegal so I wouldn't condone it.

The biggest problem is the dynamic IP that he is using.
If you can work out what ISP he is with, and can get some legal force behind it, then you can find out who was assigned that IP address at a given
time. May be the only way to actually track him down, but that is a police matter.
If anyone is going to escalate this to an official legal matter then people need to be careful about what they say.

Mango - there is /was nothing wrong with your original post. It is the now deleted follow up that was vile beyond description.
(Because if I were you reading this, I would be thinking WTF have I done here).
Tracing down his ISP is no problem if the forum logs his IP address. Even the anonymous services can be traced when the police get involved.
From where I work I know that obscene postings like that in a forum which is knowning used by minors is taken very seriously.
Sorry lads I was away for a time but glad this was deleted as my daughter uses this terminal as well as me.
I would not have been pleased.

I have got to say, that I have spoken to Chris today, and a fix is in his capable hands.
I really don't think threads like this, after the problem has been sorted, i.e. mangos thread, are particularly helpful.
He is out to provoke a reaction, and he has got it!
IP's used so far have been noted by and saved by me, and are available to Chris.
Guys, as distressing as this is, please bear with us until the 'fix' is in place and I have had confirmation from Chris....
