New York hotel & B&B recommendations
Jasper - 11/5/07 at 03:03 PM

Got to go to NY state for business in August and want to take 3 days in NY city for a bit of shopping and sightseeing.

Anybody got a good hotel or B&B recommendations? Needs to be reasonably central and clean.

whatever you do do not book into the hotel Pennsalvania (as in 6500) its an absolute p*** hole. anywhere south of central park is ideal , if you dont mind walking every thing is in reach, macys has a sale most thursdays and if you present you passport to customer services an extra 11 % for vistors .try centry 21 next to ground zero. a very hectic cheap department store

Try the New York Metro. That where i usually stay, its always been very clean. I cant remember the street name but its very close to time square and next to the empire state building. It also has a roof garden which is pretty cool to sit at night and take a look at the views.
