I need a few hours to steam up my loco before I take it for its formal steam test. It doesn't matter if the loco gets wet (it's used to it) but I have to run the locost onto the drive so that I can get the loco out. Once out, I can't run it back in until the loco's cooled down again - quite a time.

At the moment, I can't rely on 2 or 3 hours dryness...

Thanks for removing my guilt Jon. I taxed mine at the beginning of April, an event which was followed by a prolonged and unusual period of good weather during which time I was still reassembling the car. Finally got it back on the road to go to Stoneleigh on the Sunday, and it's rained every day since.

Might build a boat next.

I washed the tintop yesterday , It started raining before I could get it dry to pollish it and hasn't stopped since.
Just late April showers I guess

I spent most of today standing in a muddy field in the p*ssing rain trying to sell people photos of Noddy. That was fun

For the SVA test I drove for 4 hours (2 each way) in torrential rain. So much there was an inch of water in the car when I got there and my clothes needed to be wrong out while I waited.

I registered the car in the month of December and it was actually snowing for once and that didn't stop me either!

I wear the the weather gear the car has to suffer
