iank - 15/5/07 at 10:06 AM

Just a broken arm apparently.

nick205 - 15/5/07 at 10:27 AM

NS Dev - 15/5/07 at 10:35 AM

made up my mind now..........full cage it is!!

Gergely - 15/5/07 at 10:54 AM

I was just thinking the same... full cage... is it that much heavier?
On the other hand, how likely is a similar accident on the road? They probably touched wheels.
Nevertheless, I am starting to toy with the idea of a full cage...

shortie - 15/5/07 at 11:05 AM

AFAIK This is when they started advocating loops to keep your hands on the steering wheel in an accident as he broke his arm as it came out the side of the cage.

Rich.

14kg according to procomp (and I'd expect he would know ) It's high up so not ideal, but how much is it worth not to spend your last years in a chair getting fed and changed by some mullet faced minimum wager.

I've seen too many cars on their roofs to say it's hard to turn a car over. Greasy corner, awkward kerb, little bit too much speed and it can happen to anyone. Obviously happens more on the track with wheel contact.

graememk - 15/5/07 at 11:45 AM

now i want a roll cage

Agriv8 - 15/5/07 at 11:48 AM

That shows why I dont care about the comments that my roll hoop looks Too Tall.

Accuratly measured and fitted by mnr ( fully welded and braced ) taking into account of the contact points ( front of chassis and roll hoop ) my nogin should still be reasnobally safe.

Oh my MNR has side protection as well. in the words of marc its only a matter of time till I spin it !!!

Ps any one know any details on this one ? Nasty hope he was OK

nasty crash

Regards

Agriv8

Hammerhead - 15/5/07 at 11:49 AM

Quote from the youtube comments
"Ota was stuck in the fireball for almost 90 seconds before rescuers finally dragged him out. He sustained burns across his body and is still unable to move his right arm, right shoulder and fingers properly."

My comment would be 'why the hell were they running in that weather?'

p.s. Your cage does 'look' too high well a little higher than the MSA requires if that's you in the avatar, but who cares.
What you are missing are head rests that are the correct height. They look like a nasty pivot for your neck right now.

Agriv8 - 15/5/07 at 12:32 PM

its Ok my side as my skid lid smaks the roll bar diagonal .

iank - 15/5/07 at 12:38 PM

consider these

Gergely - 15/5/07 at 12:58 PM

I shouldn't have watched that video Agriv8...
Very bad looking crash and the comments some people posted on youtube are just plain pathetic...
Indeed why were they racing in those conditions?
