Anyone know what the recomended cam belt service interval for a 306 2.0 HDI (W plate 2000)?
96,000 miles under normal conditions,
80,000 under adverse conditions.
So to play it safe, id change it just under 80,000
Peugeot recoment
Replacement under normal condisions at 96.000 miles
Replacement under adverse condision at 80.000 miles
i would go for 80.000 miles or every five years personally.
They dont give an age

you will need the proper peg to lock the crank ,the cam pulley uses a stepped peg and some top pulleys are slotted so you have to lock it then slacken
the three pins when you tension the belt. get it wrong and it wrecks the followers which are weedy pressed tin jobbies
Cheers guys!
Car is still on it's original cam belt, but nearly 7 years old although only on 62k miles.
I'm going to get it changed or I'll only dwell on it
