marathon row (concept 2)
Aboardman - 28/5/07 at 01:05 PM

I have just done my first marathon row (42195m) on the concept 2 rower.

and my tip for anyone wishing to do this is

Dont do it

unless you want a numb bum, sore arms and sore hands.

ok not the quickest time 3 hours 39 min, but at least i have done it and my time can only get better (if i ever want to do it again).

now going for a sleep.

i was wondering how long a marathon on the rower is. After doing 5K and 2K 3 times a week i tried 10K, which took me 41+ minutes and my arse was numb then.

No chance of me trying your distance then lol, i would die i think

well done.

PS what was your average 500m time?

I dont know what my time is for 500m as it all depends on what distance i am doing, i not a speed person.

i have only done about 8 10k rows and 2 half marathon rows, i did not go in well prepaired, had 2 cheeseburgers for my tea last night (at a concert) and 1 small bottle of water for the row and was only going to do about 30k but thought sod it try and finish.

the quickest times for the marathon row according to concept 2 website is 2 hours 32 min.

Holy sh*t - I do 2000km in a fraction over 8 mins and then fall-off with a heart-rate at about 220bpm!
