OT...OAP lexus wheels...
tegwin - 31/5/07 at 12:34 PM

My elderly grandmother is having some serious issues with her Lexus IS200...

Let me just state that she is a very good driver...far better than me...

However she struggles to keep up with the maintinance on her tyres for some reason...

They seem to go flat a lot because they are really really low profile ones.... They go flat, she carries on driving and therefore requires new tyres...Its getting expensive..

So...Are there any cheapish steel or ali rims which have more rubber on that will fit on her car?

Is it a specific Lexus bolt pattern?

My wife had one of those for work and her tyres were always getting flat, She carried heavy loads in the back though.
I bet some wheels off a toyota might fit, camry or something like that maybe.

Wouldnt help...

She would still drive into the kurb and carry on driving with a flatish tyre lol...

Need something with more rubber on it!

Porous wheels? Quite a few of the toyota rims will fit.

Hi have the same problem on the wifes IS. You could try posting HERE for a tried and tested solution.

Given the agro i have given the wife telling her it's her fault. I shant mention it's a common fault .

cheers matt

You could try some of the tyre sealants that go in the tyres and seal punctures and bead leaks. Did some trials at work recently and I was impressed with how well they performed.
